Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & MMA · Casselberry, FL
World-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts training for kids, teens, adults, and families in Casselberry, Florida.
Our mission
Every class teaches a technique. That is the smallest thing we teach. What we are really building happens between the techniques: the kid who stops looking at the floor, the adult who finishes a round they thought they couldn’t, the family that trains in the same room.
About Alan
“Nuguette” came from shoe polish. Born in Jacareí, São Paulo, and raised in Brasília, Alan was six years old and shining shoes on a dirt street. The nickname arrived before the bread did.
Capoeira took him off the street, and he trained until he reached its highest grau. At eighteen he moved to Manaus and started over, this time on the mats, earning his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and training alongside Anderson Silva and Ronaldo Jacaré — fighters he had grown up watching on television.
He became Bitetti Combat lightweight champion, and that belt opened the door to the UFC. From 2013 to 2022 he competed at the highest level of the sport, with wins over John Makdessi, Damir Hadžović, Stevie Ray and Damien Brown.
Outside the cage, the work never stopped. In 2023 he was honored by the Manaus City Council for his work with young people, and through the Instituto Amigos do Alan Nuguette he keeps opening the door he once walked through.
Today he doesn’t just teach people to fight. He teaches them to get up.
